The Introduction

Can you bottle a season? Probably not, it’s far too big. But at the Sawdust City Brewing Co. we’ve done our darnest to put the best of summer into each can of our Golden Beach Pale Ale.  With a sunshine yellow colour and the hazy hue of a long August afternoon, this easy drinking American Pale Ale is summer personified. Loaded with juicy citrus hop flavours, aromas of tropical fruit and freshly cut grass, each sip from this delicious ale will transport you back to those long, lazy days of summer any time of year. So grab your shorts and sandals and open a can of summer today!

Appearance | Very light yellow, hazy, with a foamy, white head.

Smell | Juicy citrus notes (grapefruit & lemon), notes of pine resin, and hops.

Taste | Juicy citrus (grapefruit, lemon, and bit of tangerine), faint notes of citrus zest.

Overall |  It’s worth the drive to Gravenhurst.  From Sawdust City Brewing Company, this is the Golden Beach Pale Ale.

When poured out of the tallboy, it’s a hazy light yellow with a foamy head that quickly dissipates.  The head laces the glass with every sip.   The bouquet presents hints of juicy grapefruit,  pine, and hops.   The taste doesn’t deviate from the aromas of this Pale Ale.   It’s a light-bodied ale that has plenty of carbonation and citrusy notes.   Sawdust City Brewing Company is branding this as a hoppy session ale, so this would be perfect at the cottage, camping in Algonquin Park, or even at home watching John Candy’s The Great Outdoors.

Sadly, this delicious thirst-quenching Pale Ale isn’t available in the LCBO or The Beer Store.  It’s a crying shame that it isn’t.   It’s only available at the brewery in Gravenhurst, ON.  I strongly recommend that you get a hotel room, head to the brewery, order a pizza, grab a flight or two, and play some board games with the local folks.    Wait a second, that’s what I did with the wife last month!
