EMERALD ISLES STRONG ALE BY BLOCK THREE BREWING CO.

  • STYLE: Irish Red Ale
  • ABV: 5.6%
  • IBU: N/A
  • COUNTRY: Canada
  • REGION: St. Jacobs, ON
  • BREWERY: Block Three Brewing Co.

From Block Three Brewing Co.;

A 5.6% ABV Irish Red with a deep ruby hue. IT carries a smooth malt body of caramel and earthy tones, followed by gentle hop bitterness and slightly sweet finish. Still sessionable but complex enough for any craft beer aficionado.

Appearance | Deep, red, unfiltered body with a creamy head that dissipates quickly.

Smell | Malts, hops, citrus, and hints of caramel.

Taste | Lots of malts, hops, citrus, and hints of bitterness.

Aftertaste |  Malts, hops, and bitterness.

Overall | This brew is from St. Jacobs, Ontario, 30 minutes northwest of Guelph, ON. An Irish Red Ale whose malty backbone is balanced well with hops.   It’s smooth and easy to enjoy. It would make a great accomplice for St. Patrick’s Day.  Screw green beer, go with a Irish Red ale!  Its ABV of 5.6% is hardly noticeable, making it a decent session brew. OH! By the way, Block Three Brewing Co. prefers to have their brews unfiltered (the preferred style by the Brew Head!).  Sláinte!

Available while quantities last at The Brewery (officially sold out for St. Patrick’s Day! Keep an eye out for upcoming beer from this brewery!)
