GREEN APPLE PILSNER BY NICKEL BROOK BREWING

  • STYLE: Fruit Beer
  • ABV: 4%
  • COUNTRY: Canada
  • REGION: Burlington, ON
  • BREWERY: Nickel Brook Brewing

Appearance | Clear yellow, with a foamy white head that disappears quickly.

Smell | Citrus and green apples.

Taste | Citrus, sour, sweet, and green apples.

Aftertaste | Dry finish with notes of green apples.

Overall | This is a very sweet, light-bodied brew with lots of green apple flavour.  It’s similar to a cider, but not as acidic.   This brew would be enjoyable for those who love the sour punch packed by the green apple. That said, the pungent flavour is slightly overwhelming. It doesn’t have that ‘beer taste’, so this could be a hit among those who might favour a beverage resembling a cocktail or cooler.  Apple overdose.   Needless to say, this brew won’t be stocked in The Brew Head’s fridge any time soon.
