EEPHUS OATMEAL BROWN ALE BY LEFT FIELD BREWERY
- STYLE: Oatmeal Brown Ale
- ABV: 5.5%
- IBU: 35
- COUNTRY: Canada
- REGION: Toronto, ON
- BREWERY: Left Field Brewery
From Left Field Brewery,
Inspired by the seldom thrown Eephus – a risky and unexpected high-arcing pitch that catches the batter off-guard.
Appearance | Dark deep brown with beige lacing.
Smell | Oats, sweet malts, and caramel.
Taste | Very heavy on oats, malts, and oats hops.
Aftertaste | Caramel and hops with a bitter finish.
Overall | For the high abv of 6.2%, it doesn’t have that boozey taste. (Editor’s note, it’s not 6.2% but 5.5%) It’s very smooth, which makes it a great session beer. One could easily drink this for nine innings straight!
Only available on tap. Find out where they’re serving this on Left Field Brewery’s website.

Would love to try this at some point along with all their other brews. A quick question based on your review, you state the abv as 5.5% in the upper description but in the overall you say it’s 6.2%. Which one is correct?
Hey there, there was some confusion when this occurred at the Home Opener. Turns out that it’s actually 5.5%, not 6.2%. Jeff wrote the review under the impression that it was 6.2%. I hope this clears this up. I’ll edit the review. Thanks for pointing it out!
