IRON SPIKE BLONDE ALE BY RAILWAY CITY BREWING CO.

  • STYLE: Blonde Ale
  • ABV: 4.3%
  • IBU: 16
  • COUNTRY: Canada
  • REGION: St. Thomas, ON
  • BREWERY: Railway City Brewing Co.

Appearance | Gold, hardly cloudy, with a big, lingering head.

Smell | A balance of honey, lemon, citrus, and pear.

Taste | Notes of peach, honey, and lemon.

Aftertaste | Smooth and sweet finish of fruit and citrus.

Overall | At 4.3%, this easy beer is very balanced and would be wonderful for a ‘session’ beer; meaning it would be friendly to one that drinks more than  a few beer during a short period of time- let’s say while watching a hockey game, playing pool, or around a campfire at the cottage.   It’s not heavy at all, and would be suitable for those who prefer light beer. It is very smooth to drink, but doesn’t have the watered-down taste that is inherent in many of the light beers produced by the typical macro-brewery.

This blonde ale would compliment any type of pub grub, like a burger and fries,  a pizza, or chicken wings.
