REVIEW: Pomegranate Pilsner by Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery

POMEGRANATE PILSNER BY FLYING MONKEYS CRAFT BREWERY

Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery

  • STYLE: PILSNER
  • ABV: Unknown
  • COUNTRY: CANADA
  • REGION: BARRIE, ONTARIO
  • BREWERY: FLYING MONKEYS CRAFT BREWERY

While getting lunch at Baker Street Station in Guelph, this fruity pilsner popped from the menu and it didn’t disappoint.

Appearance | Blonde.

Smell | Pomegranate & Fruity – Almost a fruit candy (Jolly Rancher, maybe?)

Taste | Light, refreshing crisp with hints of pomegranate, not overpowering.

Aftertaste |Refreshing with hints of pomegranate

Overall | This pilsner is quite refreshing.  The scent of pomegranate reached the table before the beer did.  Wow.  At times it felt like I was drinking some kind of Jolly Rancher juice.  To be honest, the pilsner is very enjoyable, but hopefully Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery will re-release it in the summer.  It just didn’t seem right on a cold winter day in Guelph.
